SPREP Announces Ecological Assessment Expedition in Tonga [viewed]

Event: CBD Expert Workshop on Underwater Noise and its Impacts on Marine and Coastal Biodiversity [viewed]

Organized by the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), this expert workshop will be held at the headquarters of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). It will aim at improving and sharing knowledge on underwater noise and its impacts on marine and coastal biodiversity, and developing practical guidance and toolkits to minimize and mitigate the significant adverse impacts of anthropogenic underwater noise on marine and coastal biodiversity, including marine mammals.

London Declaration on Illegal Wildlife Trade Adopted by 46 States [viewed]

ITPGR Secretariat Holds Event on Benefit-sharing During International Green Week [viewed]

ITPGR17 January 2014: An event on the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGR), held on 17 January 2014 in Berlin, Germany, convened as part of International Green Week 2014. The event focused on the importance of strengthening funding for the Treaty's Benefit-sharing Fund, which supports projects in developing countries, and the enhancement of the Treaty's Multilateral System of access and benefit-sharing, which enables the exchange of plant genetic material for food security throughout the world.

Draft Updated Synthesis of Impacts of Ocean Acidification on Marine Biodiversity Available for Peer-Review [viewed]

Event: CBD Workshop for Central Asia and Central and Eastern Europe on the Fifth National Report [viewed]

Central African Biodiversity Working Group Discusses CBD and IPBES-Related Issues [viewed]
