Event: Annual Meeting of the Inter-Agency Support Group on Indigenous Peoples' Issues [viewed]
The 2012 annual meeting of the Inter-Agency Support Group on Indigenous Peoples' Issues will address, among other issues, the Group's responses to current and previous recommendations of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues to the Group and the UN system; opportunities for inter-agency collaboration and possible strategic directions; and implementation of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, including through the UN Development Group and its guidelines on programming at the country level on indigenous issues.
28 March 2012: The Global Environment Facility (GEF) has approved a US$2.97 million grant to promote cassava-based bioenergy through technology innovation and South-South technology transfer from Thailand and neighboring countries.

25 August 2011: The seventh issue of the magazine of the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), titled "Making It," features articles on globalization, governance and industrial development.
13 May 2011: The UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) has published a study, titled “Agribusiness for Africa's Prosperity,” which focuses on the opportunities and challenges for African agribusiness and agro-industries.
28 May 2010: The fourth Assembly of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) was held in Punta del Este, Uruguay, on 25-26 May 2010. The Assembly was preceded by a Civil Society Forum and a GEF Council meeting, which took place at the same venue.
