Bioversity International Releases February Issue of Newsletter for Europe [viewed]
February 2011: Bioversity International has released the February issue of its "Newsletter for Europe." The newsletter describes several meetings and projects being undertaken or recently completed related to agriculture, biodiversity and genetic resources, including the meeting of the Steering Committee for the European Cooperative Programme for Plant Genetic Resources (ECPGR), held from 14-16 December 2010, in Bratislava, Slovakia.
7 March 2011: The Nagoya-Kuala Lumpur Supplementary Protocol on Liability and Redress to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety opened for signature at UN Headquarters, New York. 
4 March 2011: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has invited indigenous and local communities (ILCs) to nominate representatives for the Advisory Selection Committee of the Voluntary Trust Fund for the participation of ILC representatives in the work of the Convention. In addition, the Secretariat has called for contributions to the Voluntary Fund.
1 March 2010: The World Trade Organization (WTO) Council on Trade-related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) discussed the relationship between intellectual property rights and certain provisions of the Nagoya Protocol on Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS), recently adopted under the auspices of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
2 March 2011: Experts meeting at the second Intersessional Working Group of the Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and Folklore (IGC) of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) focused on the consolidation and streamlining of text on the protection of traditional knowledge. 
1 March 2011: A policy guide from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), titled "Promoting the Growth and Development of Smallholder Seed Enterprises for Food Security Crops," describes lessons learned from case studies of smallholder seed enterprises in Brazil, India and Cote d'Ivoire.
