Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency Considers Post-UNCSD Strategy [viewed]

15 May 2012: The Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency has released key findings from a forthcoming report, titled “Roads From Rio+20: Pathways to Achieve Global Sustainability Goals by 2050,” analyzing the contribution of technology and changes in consumption patterns to accomplishing sustainable development objectives. The report proposes: a shared vision for 2050; strong short-term targets; and strong government policy action, building on business and civil society strengths.

24 May 2012: The UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC) has released four briefing notes describing its contributions to implementing outcomes on biodiversity and ecosystem services under Agenda 21, the Rio Conventions and the Johannesburg Plan of Implementation (JPOI). The notes further offer ways for UNEP-WCMC to contribute to the development and delivery of the outcomes of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20).

St. Kitts and Nevis Joins UNESCO's MAB Programme [viewed]
