21 March 2012: The Secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance (Ramsar Convention) has reported on the successful conclusion of a project that aimed to develop a framework for an integrated management plan of Lake Chilika, the largest coastal lagoon on the east coast of India in the state of Orissa. The Lake is a designated Ramsar site since 1981.
