The 80th General Session of the OIE World Assembly will address, among other issues: the adoption of international standards regarding the safety of world trade in animals and animal products; the fight against animal diseases and zoonoses and improving the quality of veterinary services; and the elections of the Council, the Regional and Specialised Commissions. It also will discuss national and international experiences and roles in previous and future developments in the “One World, One Health” approach, and celebrate the OIE's 80th anniversary.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO)'s Committee on Agriculture (COAG) will consider technical work relating to: options for stakeholder dialogue in support of sustainable livestock developments; sustainable crop production intensification; perspectives of land and water resources in a changing climate; and improving statistics for food security, sustainable agriculture and rural development.
