CMS Publication “Living Planet” Now Available in French and Spanish

11 May 2012: The Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) has released French and Spanish versions of “Living Planet: Connected Planet." The publication highlights the importance of ecological networks for migratory animals. It explains that, like modern transport systems, migratory species have similar networks around the globe, and many of the migration hubs are under intense pressure from human development and the exploitation of natural resources.

The publication seeks to demonstrate that collaboration between different countries is critical to ensuring that migratory wild animals can continue to use their routes.

The new versions are now available on the GRID-Arendal and CMS websites. The English version was launched in November 2011 at the 10th Conference of the Parties (COP) to the CMS  in Norway.

The publication was supported by funding from Norway. [CMS Press Release] [Publication: Living Planet: Connected Planet]
